Software QA Engineer

SOFTWARE TESTING

Job description

We are looking for passionate rockstars whose passion is Software Testing! The ideal candidate must be proactive and be able to work as part of a team and individually.

As a Software QA Engineer, you will spearhead software testing efforts within the scope of the client’s needs. You will work with one or more approaches, and therefore you must be able to adapt to the client’s needs and interact directly with them.

Job responsibilities

  • Work with software developers and project support teams
  • Identify business requirements from documentation and other contexts
  • Apply different types of tests based on the need
  • Write and executing test cases
  • Develop estimates for different QA / software testing efforts
  • Develop automated test scripts in Python
  • Testing in different environments including web and mobile
  • Write bug reports
  • Work towards departmental and project deadlines
  • Provide objective feedback to software development project teams
  • Design tests to mitigate risks
  • Present findings to software development and business user teams
  • Work on multiple projects at one time;
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues

Job Requirements

  • MUST currently reside in Latin America
  • MUST be fluent in English
  • MUST sent Resume in English
  • MUST be able to work U.S. Eastern time hours (9:00 AM- 6:00 PM)
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment that requires a frequent shift in areas of focus
  • Ability to work in an open team environment as well as independently and take initiative to solve problems and QA challenges
  • Ability to set estimates
  • Ability to work with several projects/multiple deadlines
  • Understanding of what a CMS is/what it does (experience with CMS is not mandatory but it’s a plus)
  • 2+ years of QA experience
  • Thorough understanding of SQA methodologies and practices preferred
  • Test Automation skills is not mandatory but they are a PLUS.
